Iran's military force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has warned of attacks on US and Israeli universities in the Middle East. They claim that this step may be taken in response to the US and Israeli attacks on two Iranian universities.

In a statement issued on Sunday (March 29), the IRGC said that everyone, including teachers and students, have been asked to move at least one kilometer away from the relevant university campuses. They have referred to these institutions as 'legitimate targets'.

However, they have also given the US a condition before the attack. The IRGC said that if the US formally condemns the attack on the Iranian university by March 30, then they can withdraw from the attack.

The force further warned that if the condemnation is not expressed within the specified time, the scope of the attack will not be limited to a few specific institutions, but may be wider.

The international media outlet CNN reported that there are several universities affiliated with the US in various countries in the Middle East. These include Texas A&M University and Northwestern University, which have campuses in Qatar. New York University also has a branch in the United Arab Emirates.

According to analysts, the threat of attacks targeting civilian facilities such as educational institutions could make the situation more complex and worrisome. This could increase regional tensions and trigger a strong international response.
