Iran Launches Missile Strikes in Retaliation Against Israel and the U.S.

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated sharply as Iran’s armed forces launched retaliatory attacks against Israel and the United States. The Israeli military reported that ballistic missiles fired from Iran were detected heading toward Israeli territory, prompting air raid sirens across multiple regions and urgent instructions for civilians to seek shelter.

In a statement, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) urged, “Civilians are requested to follow all instructions from the IDF. Our air force is actively working to neutralize the threat and, if necessary, conduct counterstrikes.” The military also warned that Israel’s defenses are not completely secure, making adherence to safety directives critical.

According to reports from The Times of Israel, sirens are sounding across northern Israel as citizens are instructed to move to protected areas. Israel’s missile defense systems are working to intercept incoming threats, while the air force remains on high alert to respond to potential attacks.

Earlier, in response to joint U.S.-Israeli strikes, Iran issued stern warnings. Ibrahim Azizi, head of Iran’s Parliamentary National Security Commission, posted on social media: “We warned you. Now you have embarked on a path whose outcome is no longer under your control.”

Reports indicate multiple explosions in Tehran’s highly secured Pasteur district, home to the president’s office and the Supreme Leader’s residence. Authorities have confirmed that the president and other key officials’ safety was quickly secured following the attacks.
