Iran has strengthened military preparations in the context of the deployment of US warships in the waters of the Middle East. As part of increasing strategic and military capabilities, the country's army has received 1,000 sophisticated drones. On Thursday (January 29), Tasnim News Agency reported this information, quoting Iranian Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami.
The report said that under the direction of Major General Amir Hatami, these new drones will be used to increase the operational capabilities of the four branches of the army. The drones have been developed using completely domestic technology in a joint initiative of the army's own experts, scientists and innovators in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.
The new drones have been designed keeping in mind three main military strategies: offensive operations, surveillance (reconnaissance) and electronic warfare. They are claimed to be capable of precisely hitting fixed and moving targets on land, sea and in the air.
In this regard, Major General Amir Hatami said that these drones are being stockpiled as part of maintaining strategic advantages and increasing military power in view of future threats. According to military analysts, the addition of this drone fleet will significantly increase Iran's air defense and long-range strike capabilities, which has caused renewed concern among Western countries, including the United States.
