China aims to send astronauts to the moon by 2030

China has announced that it is on track to achieve its goal of sending humans to the moon by 2030. The country is also taking rapid steps to complete the work of the Tiangong space station as part of its plan to lead space exploration. In this context, a new astronaut team has been introduced for the ongoing mission.
Zhang Jingbo, spokesman for the Chinese manned space program, said that the research and development activities necessary for landing humans on the moon are progressing according to the schedule. The Long March 10 rocket, special suits and exploration vehicles are almost ready. China is working in a well-organized manner to achieve this goal.
As part of the research program of the Tiangong space station, the new astronaut team will work on the station for six months. The crew members are Zhang Lu, Wu Fei and Zhang Hongzhang. The three astronauts launched from the Jiuquan Launch Center at 11:44 pm on October 31. Zhang Lu previously participated in the Shenzhou 15 mission, while Wu Fei and Zhang Hongzhang will be on their first spaceflight.
They are taking four mice and other research equipment with them on the mission. The main goal of the research is to test the effects of weightlessness and being in a confined environment.
The US has excluded China from the International Space Station due to China's space program being directly linked to the People's Liberation Army. China has since focused on building the Tiangong station. In the future, this station will play an important role in building Chinese astronauts and human camps on the moon.
Analysts believe that the space race between China and the US will intensify in the 2030s, with China working alone, while the US will work with other countries through NASA to conduct lunar missions.
