Israel returns 30 Palestinian bodies, many with signs of torture

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that a total of 225 bodies have been returned to Gaza through the latest handover. Many of the dead have signs of torture on their bodies.
The international media outlet Al Jazeera reported that despite the ceasefire announcement, Israel carried out airstrikes on various areas in Khan Younis in southern Gaza and northern Gaza City. The Israeli military said that the attacks targeted terrorist infrastructure. However, locals complained that civilian areas were damaged.
At least three Palestinians were killed in the attacks on Friday (October 31). The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that one person was killed and his brother was wounded in the Shujaiya area of eastern Gaza City. Another person was killed in the Jabalia refugee camp, and another person injured in the attack later died.
Gaza residents said that the implementation of the ceasefire announcement was not effective. Many people are facing a humanitarian disaster due to lack of food and shelter. The general public is living in fear as the violence escalates to a new level.
In this situation, Turkey has increased diplomatic activity to preserve the ceasefire. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that an emergency meeting will be held in Istanbul on Monday local time, where the ceasefire in Gaza and the next steps will be discussed. The foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia will participate in the meeting.
Fidan said that there is growing concern in the international community about Israel's obstruction of the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Turkey's goal is to maintain the ceasefire and form a 'Gaza Task Force'.
