Humanity is moving towards Gaza by sea - 'Global Sumud Flotilla'.

On August 8, 2021, an international fleet called 'Global Sumud Flotilla' sailed from the port of Barcelona in Spain. There were more than 5 civilian vessels in the fleet and about 5 rights activists, doctors, journalists and lawyers from 5 countries. Their goal was to break Israel's blockade and reach humanitarian relief in the Gaza Valley directly by sea.

Israeli barriers and arrests:
In the Mediterranean on Wednesday night, the Israeli Navy stopped at least five boats in the international waters about 5 km from the Gaza coast. They then arrested more than 20 rights activists. Among the detainees are Greta Thunberg, a world -renowned Swedish climate movement.

The organizers of the flotilla claimed that Israel deliberately disconnected the ferry communication and entered the ships. Among the seized vessels are 'Alma', 'Surius' and 'Adra'.

Israel's location:
Israel had already informed that they would not allow any Ghazam to reach the destination. They called the relief action a 'attempt to violate the illegal naval blockade' and launched a raid through international law.

According to a video from the Israeli Foreign Ministry, a woman warns Flotila that they are going to enter a blocked area, which is not internationally recognized.

The future of detained personnel is uncertain:
At present, all kinds of government activities are closed due to the 'Yum Kipur' festival in Israel. The legal process of detained rights activists has also been suspended. Israeli envoy Danny Danon said the process of expulsion will begin when the festival is over.

Despite the Israeli obstacle, at least five of the flotilla relief vessels are moving towards Gaza. On behalf of the organizers, Saif Abukshek said they were only 5 km away from the Gaza Valley and committed to completing the journey.

Protests have already been held in various cities including Rome, Istanbul, Buenos Aires to protest the arrest of rights activists.

Bangladesh's participation:
