Israel's losses in Iran's counterattacks in the recent 12-day war have reached at least 4 billion shekels, or about $1.1 billion. The Israeli Tax Authority said that a record 53,000 compensation applications have been submitted.
According to the authorities, the direct damage alone is not less than 4 billion shekels. If business disruptions and other indirect losses are taken into account, the actual damage will exceed several billion shekels. About 1.6 billion shekels ($430 million) in compensation has already been distributed among the victims.
The report noted that the Weizmann Institute of Science, which has close ties to the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, was particularly affected by the Iranian attack. In addition, many businesses have also been put on a long-term standstill.
It is worth noting that on June 13, Israel launched an unprovoked attack on Iran, killing at least 1,064 Iranians in a 12-day war. In retaliation, Iran targeted strategic installations in the occupied Palestinian territories and the US military base at Al-Udeid in Qatar.
