Former US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has carried out a ‘very successful’ attack on three important Iranian nuclear facilities. These facilities include Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. Trump’s comments have created extreme tension in the international arena.
Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera and British media outlet BBC reported in their reports that Trump said in a post on his social media outlet Truth Social, “We have very successfully attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. All aircraft are now outside Iranian airspace.”
Trump also claimed that the Fordow nuclear facility is located 262 feet underground and heavy bombs were dropped there. He noted that the US aircraft that carried out the attack are now returning to the United States.
Trump also wrote on Truth Social, “This attack is a historic moment for the United States, Israel, and the entire world.” His statement has sparked renewed tensions in the Middle East.
The Iranian government has not yet officially responded to this incident. However, analysts believe that Iran may retaliate against this attack, which will further destabilize the Middle East.
World leaders have expressed concern after this incident and called on both sides to show restraint. The United Nations, the European Union, and Russia have taken a position in favor of a peaceful resolution to this situation.
According to analysts, the Western world has long been concerned about Iran’s nuclear program. But such a direct military operation has thrown diplomatic relations into question again. It is also feared that this attack could have a major impact on global markets, especially the oil market.
