The situation in the Middle East is becoming increasingly worrying due to the ongoing attacks and counterattacks between Israel and Iran. Recently, Israel launched airstrikes on several military and nuclear installations in Iran, including Tehran. In response, Iran also launched a fierce counterattack. This has brought tensions between the two sides to a peak.

In this context, Iran's top military officer, General Mohsen Rezaei, has made a sensational claim. He said that if Israel uses nuclear weapons against Iran, Pakistan will also respond nuclearly against Israel. He also said that Pakistan has already assured Iran of this.

General Rezaei is a senior official in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and a member of the National Security Council. In an interview with Iranian state television, he said, “Pakistan has assured us that if Israel uses nuclear bombs, they will also launch a nuclear strike in response.”

He also said that Pakistan stands by Iran and has given a message of unity to the Muslim world. He also warned that Iran has not yet revealed many of its secret military capabilities. Meanwhile, about 250 people have already lost their lives in the ongoing conflict between the two countries.

However, the Pakistani government has not officially said anything about a nuclear strike against Israel so far. However, as in the past, the country is supporting Iran’s position diplomatically. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (ICAN), only nine countries in the world have nuclear weapons, including both Israel and Pakistan.

According to the NDTV report, this assurance by Pakistan is being seen as diplomatic support rather than a direct military commitment. Because this conflict is not limited to the Middle East, it involves the strategic interests of many countries in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Former US President Donald Trump said about the situation that he is trying to broker a deal between Israel and Iran. However, he warned Iran, saying, “If they attack the United States, the US military will strike with a force that has never been seen before in history.”

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said in an online post, “The West should be concerned about Israel’s nuclear capabilities. Because this conflict could endanger not only a region, but the entire world. Israel is a reckless state, which the West is making a terrible mistake by supporting.”

Analysts believe that although this Iran-Pakistan message is strategic, its impact on international politics could be widespread. Keeping in mind the possibility of nuclear war, world powers are now taking a cautious stance.
