Shiri Bivas' body handed over to Hamas, fears over ceasefire!

Finally, a day after the scheduled time, the Palestinian armed group Hamas has handed over the body of an Israeli woman named Shiri Bivas. Last Thursday, Shiri's body was not among the four bodies that Hamas handed over. Israel reacted angrily to this and there were fears that the ceasefire would break due to tension over Shiri's body.

In this situation, Hamas sent another body to Israel on Friday night through the Red Cross. Later, tests revealed that the body was that of Shiri Bivas. The Israeli woman's family also confirmed the matter.

Hamas said that Shiri was killed along with several hostages in an Israeli air strike. Her body was mixed with others. After the bodies were handed over, Hamas political bureau member Bassem Naim said, "This could have been an unfortunate mistake, especially when the bodies of Israeli prisoners and Palestinians were mixed up in the Israeli bombing. Thousands of bodies are still buried underground."
