A case worth crores of taka has been filed against Dhaka-based villain actor and producer Monowar Hossain Dipjol, alleging commercial and social defamation. The case was filed by his cousin and Managing Director of A One Trading Bangladesh Azizur Rahman Tiger. Along with Dipjol, his manager Abdul Gani and personal assistant Khokon have also been named as accused in the case.
The case was filed in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasan Shahadat on Sunday (July 26). After the hearing, the judge ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) to consider the complaint seriously and submit an investigation report by September 24. The matter was confirmed by the bench assistant of the concerned court, Russell Khandaker.
The petition of the case states that the plaintiff Azizur Rahman, jealous of Tiger's business progress and reputation, has been conspiring to humiliate him socially in various ways. As part of this, on August 3 last year, the manager of Dipjol filed a false GD at a police station, where it was alleged that on the orders of Aziz, the signboard of Dipjol's CNG filling station was vandalized and an attempt was made to forcibly occupy it. However, the plaintiff said that no truth was found in the allegations in this regard during the subsequent police investigation.
The plaintiff Azizur Rahman claims that he is the real owner of the disputed land himself. Despite this, Dipjol has wrongfully claimed it as his own and spread misleading information against him on social media, Facebook, television and various online media. This has severely damaged his social status and caused him to face financial losses of crores of taka in business. The matter is currently under investigation by the detective police.
