Hollywood's popular actress Sydney Sweeney has once again come into the spotlight regarding the new season of the popular TV series Euphoria. The series' creator, Sam Levinson, said that he had planned to remove some of the actress's character Cassie's candid scenes in the third season. However, Sydney Sweeney herself did not agree with that decision.
In a recent interview, Sam Levinson said that he initially thought that the new season would change the presentation of the characters and show some scenes differently. In particular, in the case of the character Cassie, the issue of reducing nudity was considered. But Sydney Sweeney believes that these scenes are necessary to highlight the reality of her character.
According to the creator, while discussing the matter, Sydney reminded him that she was playing a character whose candid presentation is closely related to her lifestyle and online presence. Then, considering the character's background, the creator changed his previous plan.
Euphoria, which started in 2019, is a much-discussed series about the lives of young people, relationships, mental health, drug addiction and social reality. Since the beginning, there has been discussion and criticism about the adult content and explicit scenes in the series. However, Sydney Sweeney has always said that she acts in these scenes because of the need for the character.
In the interview, praising the professionalism of the actress, Sam Levinson said, Sydney is a very confident and courageous actress. The mutual trust between them made it easy to make decisions according to the needs of the character and the story.
It is worth noting that Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie and Jacob Elordi returned among the old stars in the third season of Euphoria. After the release of the new season, the interest and discussion of the audience about the series has increased further.
