Popular Bengali film actress Mahia Mahi is in the news again. A year and a half ago, she announced her separation from her husband Rakib Sarkar. After that, they were not seen together anywhere. However, the actress recently created a new discussion by posting a picture with her son Farish and Rakib on social media. In a recent interview, Mahia Mahi said, "We did not divorce. If there is no divorce, there is no question of breaking up the family." Earlier, about a year ago, Mahi had said in an interview that she was separating because of the distance between her and Rakib. Then she said, “We both tried. But when I saw that even after trying, it was not working, I thought it was better to maintain our friendship. Rakib is still a very caring father towards Farish.”

However, this time Mahi clarified her previous statement. She said, “At that time, I talked about separation out of anger. Actually, we are not divorced, we are in regular contact.” Speculation about Mahi and Rakib’s relationship increased recently after they both shared the same picture on their Facebook posts. On Monday night, Mahi posted two pictures with her husband and child, where she wrote, “Masha Allah.” An hour before that, Rakib Sarkar also posted the same picture.

Regarding the picture, Mahi said, “We took the picture in India; it was not published then. Now it appears on Wikipedia that we are divorced—so I posted the picture to clear up any misunderstanding. Our passports also say ‘married’, and my husband’s name is Rakib Sarkar. We are fine.”

It is worth noting that Mahia Mahi married Sylhet businessman Parvez Mahmud Apu in 2016. That marriage lasted for five years. Later, in 2021, she married Gazipur businessman Rakib Sarkar. Although they announced their separation a year and a half ago, it is now seen that the bond of relationship is still unbroken.

Meanwhile, Jazz Multimedia has announced a new film with Mahia Mahi. The company said that Mahi will play the central character in their new film 'Antaryamyami'.
