Southern film superstar Dhanush has revealed the name of his upcoming film - 'Idli Kadai'. The name is associated with his childhood memories. Dhanush said that his family was financially limited as a child, so he had to sell flowers to buy idlis.
Dhanush said at an event, "I wanted to eat idlis every day as a child, but it was not possible for our family. So we used to collect flowers from the neighborhood and sell them and eat idlis. My sister and brothers used to wake up at 4 am, it took about two hours to sell flowers."
He further added, "The pleasure of eating idlis with money earned through hard work is not comparable to the taste of any restaurant. From this childhood experience, the name of my film is 'Idli Kadai', which basically carries the meaning of an idli shop."
However, Dhanush's childhood story has received mixed reactions among netizens. Some are not convinced that Dhanush's family was so limited. One user commented, "He was poor as a child, so did his family never give him money?" Another said, "Dhanush is from a director's family, it's a lie that he doesn't have money."
The film will focus on Dhanush's childhood experiences and hard work, which could reveal new aspects of his personal life to fans.
