The 23rd edition of ‘Amar Bhashar Film Festival’ is starting tomorrow under the initiative of Dhaka University Film Society. This time, the festival poster highlights the red glow of revolution along with Basanti Phul Palash. The festival will continue till February 19, and multiple films will be screened every day at the Dhaka University Student-Teacher Center (TSC) auditorium.
Several titles of various films released recently will be shown in this festival. These include Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury's 'Boli', Shankh Dasgupta's 'Priya Malti', Amitabh Reza Chowdhury's 'Rickshaw Girl', Akram Khan's 'Nakshi Kanthar Zamin', Nurul Alam Atiq's 'Pearaar Subas', Gias Uddin Selim's 'Kajalrekha', Dhrub Hasan's 'Fatima', Mishuk Monir's 'Deyaler Desh' and Raihan Rafi's 'Tufan'.
In addition, the festival will screen traditional films from Bangladeshi film history, including Ritwik Ghatak's 'Subarnarekha', Subhash Dutt's 'Arunodayer Agnisakshi', Dewan Nazrul's 'Dost Dushman', Amjad Hossain's 'Bhat De', Chashi Nazrul Islam's 'Devdas', Kazi Hayat's 'Ammajan', Abu Sayyid's 'Kittankhola', Salauddin Lavlu's 'Mollabariir Bou', Abdul Ahad Tanvir's 'Bataser Fena' and Abdullah Mohammad Saad's 'Live from Dhaka'.
Daily screenings will be held at 10 am, 1 pm, 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm. The ticket price for each movie is 50 taka.
