Nancy on the jury of the National Film Award!

A 13-member 'Jury Board' has been reconstituted to evaluate the films released in 2023 and recommend the names of the award recipients. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting disclosed it through a notification on Sunday.

Nazmun Munira Nancy, the country's popular musician, has been placed in the jury board chaired by the additional secretary of the ministry. Renowned music director Prince Mahmud is also there. "I feel very honored," said Nancy. Thanks to all concerned who found me suitable for this job. At the same time, I would like to pray to the people of the country, so that I can properly fulfill the responsibility assigned to me.

The Jury Board will submit a report to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting within the next two months by formulating recommendations as per the guidelines. This order issued with the approval of the appropriate authority shall be effective immediately.

Dhaka University Television, Film and Photography Department president SM Imran Hossain and journalist Wahid Sujan are members of the jury board.
