Seventh International Conference Held at Eastern University in Savar

The Seventh International Conference was held at the Eastern University campus in Savar. The event, held on the university's own campus on Saturday afternoon, was a grand academic event jointly organized by Eastern University, Bangladesh and The Gambia International Open University (IOU).
Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) Chairman Professor Dr. Mesbah Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the conference. He said, "Such international conferences create a tremendous opportunity for knowledge exchange between local and foreign academics for the improvement of quality in higher education."
Eastern University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Farid Ahmed Sobhani presided over the event.
The Chancellor of The Gambia International Open University (IOU) Professor Dr. Abu Amina Bilal Phillips and Association of Private Universities Bangladesh (APUB) Chairman Dr. Md. Sabur Khan.
The conference was attended as special guests by Engineer Khandaker Mejbah Uddin Ahmed, Member of the Board of Trustees of Eastern University, Professor Dr. Abul Hasan M. Sadek, Founder Chairman of Asian University of Bangladesh, top academic figures from Daffodil International University, City University, Manarat International University and Presidency University.
Also present were Professor Dr. Muhammad Ahsan, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of International Open University (IOU), The Gambia, and Niaz Rahim, Group Managing Director of Rahim Afroz Bangladesh Limited.
The keynote address of the conference was presented by Dr. Muhammad Imadur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited. In his article, he highlighted the role and future prospects of satellites in Bangladesh's space technology and communication system.
In addition, Dr. Md. Musharraf Hossain, Advisor (HR), ICDDR,B and President, Federation of Bangladesh Human Resource Organizations (FBHRO), spoke as a distinguished speaker. He discussed in detail the importance of international cooperation and ethical leadership in human resource development.
This day-long international conference was attended by domestic and foreign academicians, researchers and industry representatives. Several papers were presented on innovation in higher education, international cooperation in research and technological development.
