The court has ordered both to be sent to jail in a counter-suit filed by a husband and wife in Sonagazi, Feni. The Feni Judicial Magistrate Court issued the order on Wednesday.
According to court sources, the husband's family filed a theft case against his wife Nasima Akhter for leaving the house with gold ornaments and money a few months after their marriage. On the other hand, Nasima filed a case against her husband Sumon and his family alleging dowry.
Since both cases are pending in the same court, they were given the opportunity to compromise several times, but no solution was found. Later, after the hearing, the court reviewed the statements of both parties and the case documents and ordered the husband and wife to be sent to jail.
The court police confirmed that they were sent to jail as per the court's order.
