Three people including father and daughter killed in road accident in capital

A total of three people were killed in two separate road accidents in the Satrasta and Mohakhali bus station areas under the Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station in the capital between 3 am on Tuesday and early Wednesday.

Rafiqul Islam (45) and his daughter Tanjila (12) were killed in the accident that occurred in the Satrasta area. His son Nur Islam (14) was injured. Rafiqul Islam's two children studied in a local madrasa.

It is learned that the family, who live in the Moghbazar Wireless Railgate area, were going to the Mohakhali bus terminal in a battery-powered auto-rickshaw at around 3 am on Tuesday. On the way, a speeding truck ran over the auto-rickshaw in the Satrasta area of ​​Tejgaon. They were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in serious condition, where the doctor on duty declared Rafiqul Islam and Tanjila dead at 4:50 am. Inspector Md. Faruk, in-charge of the police outpost of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said that the bodies of the deceased have been kept in the hospital morgue.

On the other hand, an unidentified person was killed in a separate road accident in the Mohakhali bus station area under Tejgaon Industrial Zone police station early Wednesday. Tejgaon Industrial Zone police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Abdul Hamid said that after the accident, he was rescued and taken to DMCH Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead.
