Woman's body recovered from Laukshet four days after divorce

Police have recovered the body of a woman named Mosha: Tanjina Akhter (35) from Laukshet in Atwari upazila of Panchagarh. The incident took place on Monday (November 3) morning in the Madhyapara area adjacent to Dhamor Union Parishad.

The deceased Tanjina Akhter was the wife of Minal of that village. According to local sources, Tanjina married Minal about a month ago after her first husband died. However, locals said that they divorced four days ago.

In the morning, locals saw the woman's body lying in a Laukshet near Dhamor Union Parishad and informed the police. Later, Atwari police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital for autopsy.

Locals believe that the death could have occurred due to a family dispute or a previous relationship. However, the police say the cause of death is not clear and the matter will be known after receiving the autopsy report.

Atwari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam Sarkar said, “The body of a woman has been recovered from the Laukshet in Madhyapara area of ​​Dhamo. The body has been sent for autopsy after completing the legal process. Details will be known after the investigation.”
