zakir returned dead while visiting his father-in-law's house

Zakir Akon of Baithakata village of Chawra union of Amtali upazila returned dead while visiting his father-in-law's house. Son Rakib Akan claims that his stepmother Sonia Begum and the people of his father's house tortured and killed him. The incident happened on Friday morning in Pujakhola village of Amtali upazila.

It is known that Zakir Akon, son of Abdul Gani Akon, died four years ago in Baithakata village of Amtali upazila, married Sonia Begum, daughter of Anwar Bepari of Puzakhola village. Sonia is his third wife. On Monday, Zakir Akon went to visit his father-in-law Anwar Vyapari's house. Wife Sonia Begum claimed that her husband Zakir Akon left the house on Thursday saying he would go home after dinner. He was not found after that. On Thursday morning, locals saw him lying near his father-in-law's house while eating seeds. Later, his father-in-law Anwar Bagari rescued the son-in-law and brought him to Amtali Upazila Health Complex. Doctor of that hospital Dr. Moniruzzaman Khan declared him dead.

Death Zakir Akan's son Rakib Akan alleges that his father was killed by his stepmother Sonia Begum and members of his father's house and left in the field. On receiving the information, Amtali police station recovered his body from the hospital and sent it to Barguna morgue for post-mortem. A case of wrongful death has been filed at Amtali police station in this incident.

Rakib Akon, the son of the deceased Zakir Akon, said that my father called me last night and told me to come and take him. They will kill me. Since then, my father's phone has been switched off. On Friday, everyone came to know that my father's body was in the hospital. He also said that my father was killed by my stepmother and the people of her father's house. I want justice for this incident.

Wife Sonia Begum claims my husband Zakir Akon left my father's house on Thursday night saying he was going home after dinner. I don't know what happened next. On Friday morning, the locals said that my husband was lying down eating seeds. Later we brought him to the hospital. The hospital doctor declared him dead.

Amtali police station OC Kazi Sakhawat Hossain Tapu said that the body of Zakir Akon was recovered from the hospital and sent to Barguna morgue for postmortem. A case of wrongful death has been filed at the police station.
