Three dead bodies recovered from the burnt house of Natore MP Shafiqul

Akib's body was recovered from the burnt house of Shafiqul Islam, Member of Parliament of Natore-2 Constituency.
Three people died in the house of Member of Parliament of Natore-2 (Sadar and Naldanga) Shafiqul Islam (Shimul) set on fire by an angry crowd. Two dead bodies were found on the balcony of the third floor of the house named Jannati Palace in the city's Kandivitua Mohalla at around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday and two bodies were found in a room on the second floor.
Two of the dead have not been identified. Only one person has been identified. His name is Akib Hossain (17). He was an 11th grade student at Natore City College. His father Delwar Hossain is the principal of the same college and former secretary of Zilla Jamaat. Recently he was arrested and is in jail.
According to eyewitnesses and local residents, after hearing the news of Sheikh Hasina's resignation from the post of Prime Minister, the house of MP Shafiqul was set on fire by the angry mob on Monday afternoon. Next to the house, a five-storey house belonging to his younger brother and the old house of the Member of Parliament were also set on fire. Looting continued in all three houses. A young man who was trapped in the parliament member's house was rescued by the crowd and brought to Sadar Hospital. He was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in critical condition. A day after this incident, the bodies of Akib and the rest were recovered from inside the house this morning.
Akib's uncle Tuhin Islam said that yesterday afternoon, Akib left home for the city. Since then he could not be traced. A woman saw the dead body lying on the third-floor balcony while visiting the burnt house of Member of Parliament Shafiqul Islam this morning. On hearing the news, the family members went there and identified it as Akib's. At the time of writing this report, the dead body was lying there till 8:30 am.
At one point, the skeletons of two others were found lying on the floor of a room on the second floor. Eyewitness Debashish Pramanik said that there is no way to identify the two dead bodies.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman of Nator Sadar Police Station commented that he does not know anything about this. He said, they are trying to find out. Unfortunately, they cannot go outside the police station.
37 injured in attack-violence
37 people were injured in the attack-violence yesterday in different parts of the district. Many of them have been treated at Natore Sadar Hospital. According to the sources of the emergency department on Tuesday morning, among the injured, a young man named Shaun (25) was shot. His house is in Tebaria area of the city. On the other hand, a young man named Robin (23) is among those seriously injured in the fire. Apart from this, Ashfaqul Islam (50), a resident of Tebaria Road, was seriously injured in the attack and is undergoing treatment in Rajshahi.
