State funeral of freedom fighter Mohsin Ali Pradhan in Panchagarh, Banglabandha

Former chairman of Banglabandha Union in Panchagarh and former president of Tentulia Upazila BNP, freedom fighter Md. Mohsin Ali Pradhan (70) was buried with state honors. His death has cast a shadow of deep sorrow over the area.
He died of heart disease at Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital on Tuesday (February 3) night (Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun). During his lifetime, he contributed to the country's independence as a freedom fighter and was engaged in teaching at Fakirpara Dwimukhi High School. Later, he was elected as a public representative and served as the chairman of Banglabandha Union Parishad.
A smart team of police from Tentulia Model Police Station accorded state honors to his body on Wednesday (February 3). Present at the time were Tentulia Upazila Executive Officer Afroz Shahin Khasru, Officer-in-Charge of the Police Station Rasedul Islam, Upazila Muktijoddha Commander Kazi Mahbubur Rahman, Tentulia BNP President Md. Ayub Ali, General Secretary Md. Shahadat Hossain Ranju and leaders of local political, social and freedom fighter organizations.
His funeral was held at 3 pm at the school ground of Dhaijan village in Banglabandha Union. After the funeral, he was buried in the family graveyard. A large number of devotees participated in the funeral and paid their last respects to a heroic freedom fighter.
At the time of his death, he left behind numerous relatives and admirers, including his wife, two sons and two daughters. When the news of his death spread, a feeling of deep grief arose among relatives, well-wishers and local political circles. Various political and social organizations expressed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the soul of the brave freedom fighter Mohsin Ali Pradhan.
