Media campaign with journalists in Durgapur

A media campaign was organized by the SDDB project of non-governmental development organization Caritas in Durgapur, Netrokona with the participation of journalists of print and electronic media working in Durgapur, Geo-NGO representatives, elderly, disabled people and DC committee members. The campaign was held on Wednesday (December 17) afternoon.
On this occasion, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the elderly and disabled and implementing cooperative activities at the local Red Manisingh Memorial Museum auditorium, the project was moderated by the project's eminator Saren Tju and moderated by the Upazila Social Service Officer Masul Talukder. Among others, Caritas Mymensingh region representative Eltus Nakrek, freedom fighter Sohrab Hossain Talukder, NGO Coordination Council President Rupan Kumar Sarkar, former president of Durgapur Press Club journalist Mohan Mia, former general secretary Jamal Talukder, senior journalist Dhruv Sarkar, Al Noman Shanto, President of Journalists Association Wali Hasan Talukder, general secretary Shafiqul Alam Sajib, former president Sajim Sain, former editor Rajesh Gaur and journalists from print and electronic media also spoke. Later, a video report was presented on the role that the project has been playing in improving the quality of life of the elderly and disabled in Durgapur and Kullagara unions since 2016 and new suggestions were received from journalists in this regard.
At this time, the speakers said that elderly and disabled people are not a burden in our society. They are a part of our society. They pledged to work from their respective positions to secure cooperation from various government departments to transform them into assets rather than burdens.
