Worker dies after being electrocuted while working on windows in Keshabpur, 2 injured

A worker died after being electrocuted while working on windows of an under-construction building in Keshabpur, Jessore. Two other workers were seriously injured in the incident and are undergoing treatment at the Upazila Health Complex.
The incident took place on Friday (November 8) at around 2 pm in a four-storey building on the Jessore-Satkhira road next to the Press Club in Keshabpur town. The deceased worker has been identified as Tuhin Hossain (40). He is the son of Abdul Aziz Sardar of Baliadanga Khanpur village in Monirampur upazila. The injured are Abu Said (35), son of Abdul Aziz Gazi of the same village, and Siam Hossain (20), son of Rajib Hossain of Bhogti village in Keshabpur upazila.
According to local sources, the three workers were working on installing sliding glass windows on the third floor of the building at noon. At that time, Tuhin Hossain was electrocuted when he inadvertently touched an electric wire and died on the spot. Upon receiving the information, members of the Keshabpur Fire Service and Army Camp went to the spot and recovered the body and quickly admitted the injured to the hospital.
Keshabpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anwar Hossain said, “A case of accidental death (UD) has been filed at the police station in the incident of the death of a worker and the injury of two others due to electrocution. The body has been recovered and handed over to the family.”
