Distribution of goats and house building materials for the development of small ethnic groups

With the aim of improving the socio-economic and living standards of backward small ethnic groups living in the plains, improved breed goats and house building materials have been distributed under the "Integrated Livestock Development Project". The distribution program was organized on Thursday (October 30) at 10 am at the initiative of the Upazila Livestock Department. Before the distribution program, a brief discussion meeting was held, where Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Amit Dutta presided. Veterinary Surgeon Sheela Rani Das, Press Club President Tobarak Hossain Khokon, Journalists Association President Dilwar Hossain Talukder and General Secretary Rajesh Gaur were present at the time.

After the discussion, 200 improved breed goats were distributed among 100 families of backward small ethnic groups living in the plains under the project. In addition, each family was provided with 25 kg of goat food, 4 cement pillars, 2 tins and 5 floor mats for house construction.

After the distribution, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Amit Dutta said that he was very happy to be able to give this small gift to the people of the small ethnic groups. It is a matter of pride for him to be able to participate in the development of the backward community. He called on everyone to take care of the provided materials and goats. The guests present expressed the hope that through this initiative, the self-reliance of the people of the small ethnic groups will increase and their socio-economic conditions will improve.
