More than 4 lakh children to be given typhoid vaccine in Thakurgaon

A nationwide vaccination campaign will start from October 12 under the government's EPI program to protect children from typhoid fever.
Civil Surgeon Anisur Rahman gave this information at a journalist orientation workshop at the Thakurgaon Civil Surgeon's office on Thursday (October 09) afternoon.
He said that all children aged 9 months to 15 years and all students from pre-primary to ninth grade and equivalent will be given 1 dose of typhoid vaccine free of charge through online registration with their birth certificates. And children who do not have birth certificates and do not go to school will be given this vaccine through an immediate white list.
This vaccination campaign will start from October 12 and will continue for 18 working days. This time, 4 lakh 20 thousand 822 children will be brought under this vaccination in Thakurgaon district.
Civil Surgeon Anisur Rahman, Dr. Abul Bashar Mohammad Saiduzzaman, Medical Officer Iftekhairul Islam, along with news personnel from print and electronic media, were present at this orientation.
