Protesters clash with police in Bogra, many injured including journalists

Clashes with the police, tear-cells, throwing of bricks and mortars, and back-to-back chases have taken place in Bogra, the heart of the city, in connection with the quota reform movement. The entire Satmatha area has become a battlefield.
This incident happened on Thursday (July 18) at 11:30 am. Runs till 12:30 noon.
It is known that when the agitating students wanted to come to Satmatha with a procession around 11:30 am, there was a back and forth with the police. At that time, Satmatha area turned into a battlefield due to massive vandalism, throwing of bricks and cocktail explosions. Many people including journalists and police were injured. The injured have been taken to different hospitals.
Besides, there was a clash in front of Bogra Government Azizul Haque College. Police fired teargas to disperse the protesters. Around 12 noon students clashed with the police in Banani area of the city. The police are said to have fired teargas here as well.
