Body of youth recovered from abandoned counter in Panchagarh

Police have recovered the body of a youth named Santosh Roy (28) from an abandoned counter in Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh.
On Monday (November 25) morning, Debiganj police recovered his body and sent it to the morgue of Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital for autopsy. The deceased Santosh Roy's home is in Tinpul area of Baniapara in Chilahati union of the upazila. His father is Sushil Chandra Roy.
According to local and transport sources, Santosh Roy left for home on Sunday (November 24) night from Nabinagar in Dhaka in a night coach called Debiganj Special. When the bus reached Debiganj stand early Monday morning, all the passengers got down. After some time, transport workers found Santosh lying in a lethargic state on the floor of an abandoned counter.
Debiganj Police Station OC Soel Rana said that when the body was recovered and taken to Debiganj Health Complex, the doctor on duty declared him dead. The body has been sent to the morgue for autopsy. **The cause of death can be confirmed based on the autopsy report.**
The deceased's family members said that Santosh Roy had been driving various vehicles in Nabinagar, Dhaka for a long time and was suffering from asthma. However, they are not sure about the cause of his death.
Debiganj Health Complex Emergency Department doctor **Jyotishmoy Roy** said that the exact cause of death could not be immediately understood. However, details will be known after the autopsy.
OC Soel Rana said that legal action will be taken if any complaint is received from the family.
