Human chain of university teachers and students to protest against dumping of waste in Tangail

The municipality has been throwing garbage at the entrances of Tangail city for a long time. Local residents and road users have to suffer due to this. Recently, the municipality has been dumping urban waste in the area adjacent to the crematorium on the Kagmari Bridge to Bhasani University road. Teachers and students have organized a human chain in protest.
On Wednesday morning, Green Club of Maulana Bhasani Science and Technology School, Bangladesh Environment Movement and environmentalist organization Sabuj Prithivi organized the program in front of Rani Dinmani Crematorium Ghat.
Prof. SM Saifullah of Environmental Science and Resource Management (ESR) Department of Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology, Associate Professor Muhammad Jaseem Uddin, General Secretary of Sabuj Durham Shahid Mahmud, convener of Green Club spoke during the human chain. Shamim Kabir, student Turna and others spoke.
The speakers said that due to illegal dumping of rotten smelly waste on the side of the road, extreme suffering is being caused. Apart from environment, public health is also threatened due to dumping of garbage. The agitator warned of strict agitation if it is not stopped soon.
