That teacher in Chilmari has been suspended

A teacher named Ziaur Rahman has been temporarily suspended by the managing committee for sexual harassment in Chilmari, Kurigram. This teacher had earlier arrested and detained a student of class 8 of Thanahat Pilot Girls High School on charges of molestation. Ziaur Rahman is the assistant teacher of mathematics in that institution.
It is reported that on June 22 of this year, the parent of a 7th grade student of Thanahat Pilot Girls High School complained to the headmaster.
The parent of that student mentioned in the complaint that my daughter used to study privately in a room built by teacher Ziaur Rahman in his own place adjacent to Dak Banglow from 8 am to 9 am in a batch. During a gap in private teaching, teacher Ziaur Rahman called my daughter to the tubewell and tried to touch her sensitive area and gave bad suggestions. After returning home he told us. In this incident, teacher Ziaur Rahman immediately admitted his mistake and apologized to us on the phone, he mentioned in the complaint.
In view of the complaint, a show cause notice was given to teacher Ziaur Rahman as per the decision of the school managing committee meeting. In the 2nd phase, the accused teacher was given a show cause notice but he did not give a satisfactory reply. In the 3rd phase, when the notice was given again, the accused teacher applied for a re-investigation.
In this incident, a 3-member specialized investigation committee led by former Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Minhajul Islam found the teacher guilty. On August 29, a show-cause notice was issued as to why he should not be dismissed. As per the decision of the managing committee, he was suspended on September 22 in a letter signed by the head teacher, Taiyab Ali, as he did not get a satisfactory response to the notice.
Meanwhile, the students of the institution expressed relief as the news of the dismissal of teacher Ziaur Rahman came to light. They said, because of a teacher with a bad character, the quality of the reputed institution is being undermined. The students demanded his final dismissal.
The victim student's father said, "Not temporary dismissal, I demand the final dismissal of that teacher."
The accused teacher Ziaur Rahman said, I do not know about the temporary suspension. No one came to give me a letter.
School Security Commissioner Zainal Abedin said I went to send a letter to Zia sir but he did not take the letter.
The head teacher of the school Md. Taiyab Ali said, according to the rules, it has been decided to dismiss him. A temporary dismissal letter was given to Ziaur Rahman through the office peon. But he did not accept the letter. Later the letter was sent by post to his address on 25 September.
It is noted that teacher Ziaur Rahman was arrested by the police on February 3, 2019 in the case of molesting a student and spent a long time in jail.
Acting Upazila Executive Officer and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Naeem Uddin said that the teacher has been temporarily suspended as per the rules.
