Headmaster of Bara Bashalia High School of Tangail Sadar Upazila. Allegations of widespread irregularities and corruption have been made against Lutfar Rahman. There is extreme dissatisfaction and anger among the school students, parents and locals regarding the issue.

It is known on the ground that despite the existence of government restrictions, the headmaster of the school, Lutfar Rahman, has been accepting huge amount of money from the stipend students for a long time in the name of monthly salary and school related fees in an unethical and illegal manner. In this regard, the beneficiary students and their parents show fear of removing their names from the scholarship list if they refuse to pay the salary, the beneficiaries said.

A parent of a student of the school, who did not wish to be named, said that the nomination form was unreasonably priced at Tk 3,000 to keep the school managing committee in check. which was beyond the reach of ordinary parents.

Several teachers, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that "internal audits" are not conducted despite government policies in place. In the absence of an "internal audit" of the school, the headmaster has been embezzling money by adopting various tricks. In defiance of the government ban, several other teachers teach privately, bypassing the regular classes in the school grounds and harassing the headmaster and headmaster in the school classrooms.

Aggrieved students, parents and locals demand that the accused head teacher be removed immediately due to corruption, irregularities and arbitrariness.

In this regard, the head teacher of Bara Bashalia High School. Rutfor Rahman said that due to the shortage of students and the financial instability of the school, the salary of the stipend students was accepted by the decision of the managing committee. Regarding private teaching in classrooms, he said, in view of the complaints of the locals, private teaching has been stopped at present.

President of Bara Bashalia High School Managing Committee and Deputy Commissioner of Tangail Sharifa Haque said, I have not received any information in this regard. Also I just joined. The matter will be investigated and necessary action will be taken.
