After the human chain, the youth leader attacked the locals on their way home

Residents of the area formed a human chain on Wednesday afternoon to protest the attack and anarchy by Juba Dal leader Rezaul Karim and his loyalist Ismail Gong over the beating of an old woman in Chilmari, Kurigram. Rezaul Karim, the joint convener of Upazila Jubodal, and his followers attacked the locals in Majider Par area of Thanahat Union on their way home after the human chain. In this clash between the two sides, 6 people from both sides were injured.
The injured are - Eighth class student Limon Mia (15), Siddiqul Islam (44), Delwar Hosan (53), Chakina Begum (65). The other party is Idris Ali (50) and Yar Ali (50). Both are under treatment at Chilmari Upazila Health Complex. When the news spread, locals attacked the house of Juba Dal leader Rezaul Karim.
Rezaul Karim, joint convener of Upazila Jubo Dal, said that the matter of sudden attack is false. Instead, they vandalized my house in a conspiracy.
Upazila BNP General Secretary Abdul Matin Sarkar Shirin said, I have heard the matter, and will be informed after talking to the president.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chilmari Model Police Station Pranakrishna Debnath said, I sent the police to the spot after hearing the incident. Now the environment is normal.
