Allegations of attack and vandalism on expatriates' houses due to previous enmity in Dasar of Madaripur. The incident took place in the East Puali area of Dasar upazila late on Thursday night. The police assured to take action subject to investigation based on the complaint.

According to the victims and local residents, Faruk Howladar, a resident of Greece, bought 4 percent of the land in East Puali area of Dasar upazila a year ago. Ever since the purchase of the land, Dulal Mir and his sons had been harassing Mahua Begum, the wife of Farooq Howladar, in various ways. At one point, Farooq demanded two lakh taka chada from Hawladar's wife. Dulal Mir and his sons attacked Mahua's house when he refused to pay chada. Later, Mahua was rescued and treated at Madaripur District Sadar Hospital. Then last Thursday late night Dulal Mir (58), Delwar Mir (50), Sohag Mir (35), Sagar Mir (30), Quddus Sheikh and unknown twenty to twenty five people attacked and vandalized the house of Greek expatriate Farooq Howladar. Mahua Begum, wife of the victim Farooq Hawladar. After the complaint, the police went and inspected the spot. According to the police on Sunday afternoon, action will be taken based on the complaint.

Mahua Akhtar, wife of expatriate Farooq Howlader, said, "In 2023, we will purchase four percent of land in East Puali village. After purchasing the land, Mir Dulal and his two sons, Mir Sohag and Mir Sagar, have been making threats. They have been demanding subscriptions and beating me up for non-payment of subscriptions for which I had to be hospitalized once before. They vandalized my house in the middle of the night without getting the subscription. Harassing and threatening in various ways, many people, Delwar Mir and Dulal Mir's people demolished my house in the middle of the night. I want a fair trial of this incident.
On the other hand, the locals have asked for proper justice in this case.
Shafiqur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Dasar Police Station, said, "I have received a complaint. Based on the complaint, action will be taken subject to investigation.
