The fire service workers said that they were able to put out the fire completely on Tuesday (August 27) at around 5 o'clock in the morning.
Assistant Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense, Anwarul Haque said that the rescue operation could not be started so far due to the fragile condition of the building.
He said, after long efforts, it has been possible to bring down the flames. But there is still heat inside the building The fire is burning little by little The building is bent and in a dangerous condition In some places it has become like a wrinkle It is not possible to work inside Only the ground floor stairs are entered.
The fire service official said that a search was conducted on the roof of the building with the help of turn table ladder (TTL), and no one was found injured in any part of the roof. It was not possible to enter the building Since I managed to put out the fire, I will start the rescue operation inside considering everything
Earlier on Monday (August 26) the fire was brought under control at around 7 pm, said director of fire service Lt. Col. Rezaul Karim.
