Kurigram principal suspended for homosexuality and corruption
The principal of Kurigram Collectorate School and College has been expelled in the face of student protests. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Saidul Arif suspended Principal Haroon Or Rashid Milan in the face of students' demands for financial irregularities and homosexuality with students.
On Sunday (August 25) afternoon, the students came to the Deputy Commissioner's office with a protest procession and started protesting with a one-point demand for his expulsion. Meanwhile, other teachers of the institution also joined the movement by declaring solidarity with the students. Later they submitted the memorandum to the District Commissioner. At that time, after hearing the various complaints of the students, the Deputy Commissioner immediately suspended the Principal Harun or Rashid Milan.
The students and teachers complained that the principal behaved rudely with the students as well as the assistant teachers. Even if they protested due to misappropriation of funds of the institution, they would physically torture the teachers.
Besides, principal Harun or Rashid Milan proposed immoral work to a boy student in a video call. When his video spread on social media, students became angry.
Deputy Commissioner of Kurigram Mohammad Saidul Arif said, besides the complaints of students and teachers, the principal of Kurigram Collectorate School and College Haroon Or Rashid has been suspended as per the rules.
