He actively participated in the historic 6-Point Movement led by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1966 and played a leading role in organizing student demonstrations in Pabna during the 1969 Mass Uprising. He later served as the General Secretary of the Edward College Chhatra League unit and became the President of the Pabna District Chhatra League in 1972.
