What is the reason for BJP's request for rapid expansion of West Bengal and Khulna Road?

Jessore Road is an important international highway connecting West Bengal and Khulna in India. BJP Member of Parliament Shantanu Thakur appealed for speedy expansion of the road. Recently, he wrote a letter to the country's Union Road Transport Minister.
