No MP or government nominee has held this post. Elected as president since 2013. Nazmul Hasan Papon was elected for three consecutive terms. Although he passed two terms fully, he could not complete the third term completely. Papon resigned and was replaced by Farooq Ahmed.
The former captains of the national team are on the current board. Test debut captain Naimur Rahman Durjoy, Akram Khan and Khaled Mahmud Sujan have been working as directors since the last three terms. Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu, the first captain of Bangladesh ODI team, was the interim board director in 2007.
Other former captains include Habibul Bashar Sumon, Minhajul Abedin Nannu, Shahriar Nafees who worked with the Cricket Board but did not become directors. Former captain Farooq Ahmed was never the director of the cricket board. He has worked as Chief Selector in Cricket Board.
