Bangladesh HP defeated Aji team by a big margin

Bangladesh High-Performance (HP) team defeated Australia's Melbourne Renegades by a big margin in the first match of the T20 series. HP collected 170 runs for 6 wickets with Parvez Hasan Immon's swashbuckling batting. Chasing that target, Melbourne got all out for just 93 runs. As a result, the red-green representatives won by 77 runs.

The Top End T20 series is going on with the participation of 9 teams. HP take on Melbourne in Darwin today (Sunday) in this short format series. However, they did not get off to a good start when batting first. After a great start in the first over, opener Tanjid Hasan Tamim was dismissed for 19 runs in the next over. As a result, Bangladesh stumbles in the beginning.
Later, Parvez Imon took the lead with Jisan Alam in one down. However, Jisan bounced back with just 10 runs off 10 balls. Afif Hossain Dhrub was out for zero runs in the next ball. Emon and Akbar Ali fought to take the team to a strong position in the fourth wicket pair. Akbar Ali returned with 21 runs (18 balls) hitting 2 sixes and 1 four, by which time the team got 92 runs in 11 overs. Eamon, who got out at the end, scored 69 runs off 48 balls for the team. Apart from this, Shamim Hossain Patwari was unbeaten with 25 runs off 25 balls.
Chasing a big target of 171 runs, Melbourne could not take advantage in the second innings. In 15.2 overs, the team led by Will Sutherland was bundled out for just 93 runs. Only five batters have reached double figures. Josh Brown scored 19 and Marcus Harris scored 18 for Melbourne.
On the contrary, Ripon Mondal and Rakibul Hasan took 3 wickets each for the HP team. Apart from this, Abu Haider Rony and Alis Islam took 2 wickets each. Bangladesh HP will play against Tasmania tomorrow in their second match of T20 series.
