Unbelievable but true, two Bangladeshis in the Brazil national team

Brazil is the country of football. Brazil means a different emotion in the hearts of football lovers around the world. However, Brazil is not only a country of football, but cricket is also played in the country - this information is unknown to many. And two Bangladeshi youngsters, Kawsar Khan and Atiqur Rahman Tarun, are now playing in the Brazil national cricket team.
The Brazil national cricket team represents the country at the international level. The team is taken care of by the Brazilian Cricket Association. Brazil started its journey as an affiliate member of the ICC in 2002, and obtained associate membership in 2017.
In 2009, the Brazil team showed a great performance in the ICC Americas Championship Division Three tournament. They won all the matches in a row and took home the title. Then they got the opportunity to participate in the 2010 Division Two competition.
Now, two Bangladeshi cricketers, Kawsar Khan and Atiqur Rahman Tarun, are playing in the jersey of the Brazil team. Kawsar said, “Thank God that I am playing in the Brazilian national cricket team. I heard from friends that there is cricket in Brazil. Since then, I have dreamed of playing for this team one day.”
Atiqur Rahman Tarun had dreamed of becoming a cricketer since he was in Bangladesh. However, that dream came true after coming to Brazil. He has already played two matches for the national team. In his words, “I could never have imagined that cricket is played in Brazil. But coming here, that dream has come true.”
Kawsar Khan also said that he has performed brilliantly in several matches for the Brazilian national team and has been selected as the man of the match several times. He will take to the field with the goal of playing better in the future.
Although cricket is not yet very well known in Brazil, the country of football, the joining of two Bangladeshi cricketers is playing a big role in popularizing the game in the country.
