According to the BCB constitution, the new board of directors of the board will be formed by the votes of 171 councilors. Of these, 76 will be representatives from different clubs in Dhaka. Of the 25-member board of directors, 12 traditionally come as representatives of club cricket. There will be another 10 directors from the divisional and regional levels, two from the National Sports Council (NSC) and one from another category. The BCB president will ultimately be elected through the votes of this board of directors.
There is a possibility of seeing a big competition in this election. Former captain Tamim Iqbal is participating in the BCB election for the first time. On the other hand, current president Aminul Islam Bulbul will also be in the fray for re-election. As a result, their head-to-head fight has already become the center of interest in the cricket arena.
It is heard that former president Faruk Ahmed is also preparing to run for the top post this time. It is expected that this will make the election more competitive.
All in all, this year's BCB election will be busy and exciting. The arrival of new candidates along with experienced leadership has made the voting field lively. The new leadership of BCB will be formed based on the verdict of the councilors, and that decision will determine the future path of Bangladesh cricket.
