The schedule of the AFC Champions League-2 has been released. This season, Cristiano Ronaldo's Saudi club Al Nasr has been drawn in Group 'D'. The same group includes India's FC Goa, Iraq's Al Zawra FC and Tajikistan's FC Istiqlal. As a result, Ronaldo is likely to play on Indian soil for the first time.
The group stage will be held on a home and away basis. That is, FC Goa will go to Saudi Arabia to play against Al Nasr, and at the same time Al Nasr will also have to come to India to play a match. However, Ronaldo's presence is not yet confirmed. His contract with the club states that he is not obliged to play away matches if he wants. Therefore, his game on the Indian field depends on his personal decision.
Nevertheless, football fans are optimistic, because even if Ronaldo does not come to Al Nasr's team, world-class star footballers like Sadio Mane, Joao Felix and Inigo Martinez can be enjoyed on the Indian field.
A total of 32 teams are participating in the AFC Champions League-2, divided into eight groups. The tournament will begin on September 16. The Round of Sixteen will begin on February 10, 2026, the quarterfinals on March 3, the semifinals on April 7 and the final on May 16.
