The Bangladesh team took to the field the day after the BPL ended. But many people laughed out loud after watching the practice that started at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday afternoon. The irony is that the Bangladesh team is making a leap from T20 to the ODI format. However, the BCB did not plan to give the necessary time to adapt to the format change.

There are only 10 days left for the Champions Trophy to start, and the Bangladesh team started practice just a few days ago. Despite the travel and other formalities, there is also doubt whether it is possible for the Bangladesh cricketers to get a week of practice. The Bangladesh team, which played its last ODI against the Windies on December 12, will start the Champions Trophy with its first match against India on February 20.

Not playing an ODI against a strong team like India for two and a half months could be a big challenge for Bangladesh. However, a BCB official claimed that the BPL was a pre-determined window, so it was not possible to do anything special for preparation. He also said that the cricketers have played in the BPL, and the white ball is used in the T20 and ODI formats, so there is no question of unfamiliarity.

However, looking at the preparation of other teams, the Bangladesh team's plan becomes questionable. Pakistan, South Africa and New Zealand are playing a tri-nation ODI series from February 8, which has been taken as a preparation for the Champions Trophy. India and England are also playing three ODI series, which is part of the preparation. And Australia will play an ODI series against Sri Lanka before the Champions Trophy.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan also played an international match a month and a half ago and are currently playing in various franchise leagues, but they are good at adapting quickly for preparation.

Questions continue to arise about the preparation of the Bangladesh team with the Champions Trophy in mind.
