PSG attacked one after another throughout the match. They also created several good chances. However, PSG could not find the desired net at the scheduled time. The match was heading towards a tiebreaker. In the end, PSG got relief from Ousmane Dembele's goal.
PSG won the French Super Cup for the third time in a row. With this, PSG has won the trophy 11 times in the last 12 years.
Dembele scored the decisive goal of the match in the 92nd minute. Fabian Ruiz passed the French star in front of the goal. Dembele did not have to suffer much as it was not written on the scoresheet.
Monaco won the French Super League title in 2000. The four-time champions then reached the final in 2017 and 2018, but they lost to PSG both times.
