Bangladesh could not take any wicket in the first session of the third day. Bangladesh were knocked out of the match on the second day of the Chennai Test. The Tigers had to do something miraculous this morning to get back into the match. But the Bangladeshi bowlers could not create even the smallest possibility.
In their second innings, India scored 205 runs after losing 3 wickets in 51 overs. Shubman Gill is on the wicket with 86 runs. Another unbeaten batsman Rishabh Pant collected 82 runs. India's lead is still 472 runs with 7 wickets in hand.
India started the third day's play with 81 runs for 3 wickets. Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant have been batting aggressively since morning. Gill brought up his half century within half an hour of the day's opening. Mehdi Hasan hit two sixes in the same over of Miraj to bring up the seventh half-century of his Test career.
Pant also completed his half century. This wicket-keeper batsman reached the milestone with 88 balls. Both the batsmen are playing aggressively on their way to the century.
