Nasiruddin Patwari has made a strong comment targeting BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas. He said, “No time to judge you. Learn to be polite.”
The party’s chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari said these things while addressing the Barisal divisional Iftar and Doa Mahfil of the Jatiya Nagarik Party (NCP) at Halima Khatun School Ground in Barisal city on Sunday.
Regarding the news that a defamation case has been filed against him, he said that he was subjected to terrible torture during the rule of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, but he never compromised.
Patwari claimed, “During Hasina’s rule, I was caught, hung upside down and tortured for the whole night. So I am not afraid of any threat.”
Addressing Mirza Abbas, he further said, “You failed in Dhaka-8 constituency. Tarique Rahman himself came and saved you. There is still time, be polite. We know how to straighten you out.”
At the beginning of his speech, Patwari emphasized on protecting the sovereignty of the country and said that they are in favor of reforms to build a dream Bangladesh and have always taken a stand against Indian hegemony.
NCP convener Nahid Islam was present as the chief guest at the Iftar Mahfil. Besides, many leaders and activists from different districts and upazilas of Barisal division participated in the program.
