Jamaat-e-Islami's nominated candidate for Sherpur-3 constituency Nuruzzaman Badal passes away

Nuruzzaman Badal (51), secretary of the Sherpur district branch of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Jamaat-e-Islami's nominated candidate for Sherpur-3 (Sribardi-Jhenaigati) parliamentary constituency, has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). His death has cast a shadow of deep sorrow over the political arena of Sherpur.

He died at around 3 am on Tuesday (February 3). Sherpur District Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter. According to family and party sources, he suddenly fell seriously ill due to respiratory problems at around 10 pm on Tuesday. He was immediately taken to the Sribardi Upazila Health Complex.

When his condition deteriorated there, it was decided to quickly take him to a private hospital in Mymensingh for better treatment. However, on the way to Mymensingh, his physical condition deteriorated further when he reached the city's entrance bridge area at around 3 am and he died there. Later, when he was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, the doctor on duty confirmed his death.

The deceased's brother Masud confirmed Nuruzzaman Badal's death on behalf of the family. On the other hand, a condolence message posted on the official Facebook page of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami said that he had been suffering from kidney disease for a long time and passed away while undergoing treatment.

The condolence message published by the party prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased's soul and said that Allah Almighty grants him Jannatul Firdaus and grants patience to his bereaved family and colleagues.

Deep shock and condolences have been expressed in the political, social and religious circles of Sherpur district over the sudden death of Nuruzzaman Badal.
