Chairman of Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) and BNP alliance candidate for Bhola-1 (Sadar) constituency, Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho, has said that if all nationalist forces and voters of the country stand united, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman becoming the Prime Minister is only a matter of time.
He made the remarks on Sunday at around 5:30 pm while speaking as the chief guest at an election rally jointly organized by BJP and BNP near Ghuingharhat in North Dighaldi Union of Bhola Sadar upazila.
Addressing the rally, Partho said that over the last few days he had visited various villages in Bhola on foot and by motorcycle and witnessed the poor condition of roads and infrastructure. “Bhola has no Bhola–Barishal bridge, no medical college, and no employment opportunities for the youth. There is a lot of work to be done for the development of Bhola,” he said.
He added that the people of Bhola have long been neglected and pledged to work for improving communication, healthcare facilities, and creating employment opportunities for young people if elected.
The rally was also addressed by Bhola District BNP Joint Conveners Aminul Haque, Shafiur Rahman Kiran, Harunur Rashid Truman, Enamul Haque, and General Secretary Raisul Alam.
Among others, Bhola District BJP President Aminul Islam Ratan, General Secretary Motashin Billah, Organizing Secretary Nurnabi, and local leaders were present at the event.
