Major Akhtar leads hundreds of people to join Jamaat in Katiadi

A new momentum has been created in the political arena in Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj. More than a hundred people from BNP and different classes and professions have officially joined Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. In a program organized in Nagergram area of Bongram Union from noon to afternoon on Saturday (January 31), in the presence of freedom fighter and former MP Major (Retd.) Akhtaruzzaman Ranjan, the new members joined the party by filling out the associate member form.
There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm and interest throughout the program. People from different local areas joined Jamaat inspired by the party ideology. According to the organizers, this joining will further strengthen Jamaat's organizational strength in Katiadi's grassroots politics and its impact will be clearly reflected in the upcoming political reality.
Party sources said that on December 13, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. After meeting Shafiqur Rahman, Major (Retd.) Akhtaruzzaman Ranjan started actively participating in various political and election programs of Jamaat. In addition to participating in the campaign for the candidate of the 10-party alliance nominated by Jamaat in Kishoreganj-2 constituency, he has highlighted the party's position by speaking at public meetings organized in various constituencies in Dhaka.
Explaining his political position, Major (Retd.) Akhtaruzzaman Ranjan said,
"Being associated with politics for a long time, I have seen the hopes and aspirations of the people very closely. Morality and ideology-based politics are essential to ensure the true welfare of the country and the people. It is with that belief that I joined Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami."
Addressing the new joiners, he further said that all those who joined Jamaat today have come forward with the expectation of positive change for the country.
"To establish justice, discipline and values in the society, everyone has to work together. The active participation of new members will play an important role in building the country in the future," he said.
According to political analysts, such a mass gathering led by a heroic freedom fighter and former member of parliament is carrying a significant message in local politics. It is also believed that it can have a significant impact on the political equation in the coming days in the Kishoreganj region, including Katiadi.
